The Carnegie Library in Swords, Dublin, stands as a testament to history, embodying the architectural brilliance of Anthony Scott, born in Easkey, Co. Sligo. In 1908, Scott's vision came to life as this iconic structure opened its doors. Recently, the building got the green light for refurbishment, signalling an exciting new phase in its heritage.

The plans unveiled an ambitious yet thoughtful renovation: a two-storey contemporary extension, carefully integrated to maintain the building's historical charm. This extension aimed not just to modernize but also to create a new space for local artists and community groups—a hub for creativity and collaboration.

Swisspearl's Facade board, specifically the Reflex 4071 variant in an amber tone with a shimmering surface was chosen to facilitate the extension. This innovative material blended seamlessly with the historical features while offering durability and a touch of modern elegance.

The choice of Swisspearl's Facade board wasn't just about aesthetics; it was about honouring heritage while embracing progress. Its durability, coupled with its ability to blend tradition with modernity, made it the perfect fit for this renovation.
