Helsingør Sunhedshus is more than a healthcare facility. It demonstrates how thoughtful design and carefully selected materials can shape a distinctive architectural identity.
The building, which accommodates almost 200 employees and welcomes around 1,400 daily visitors, is clad with 9,000 m² of dark Swisspearl Zenor facade panels.
The expansive facade is articulated by vertical fins in the same colour, introducing depth and rhythm while creating a dynamic surface that changes with the angle of light and the viewer’s perspective.
In contrast, the four internal courtyards are clad in light Swisspearl Patina Original panels. Their softer tones create calm, welcoming spaces and provide a balanced counterpoint to the darker exterior, enhancing the spatial experience throughout the building.
Constructed during a period of high demand and limited resources, the project benefited from factory-cut facade panels. This streamlined installation, reduced material waste, and ensured precise execution in accordance with the architect’s design intent.
Please note that this Reference project features Patina products. However, since the colour range for Patina NXT is the same, this reference also provides a general impression of the look and feel of a Patina NXT project.
