RTVS – The Slovak Public Broadcasting Headquarters

The building of Slovakia’s public broadcaster RTVS in Košice immediately captures attention with its bronze‑red façade panels, which subtly reflect light and make the structure shimmer as daylight shifts. The softly glowing surface gives the building a distinctive presence in the urban landscape.

Grey plastered pillars and vertical window bands introduce a calm, harmonious contrast that emphasizes the façade’s elegant, upright rhythm. The interplay between vertical elements and warm-toned panels creates a refined architectural expression that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Crowning the composition is the broadcast studio — a volume elevated above the control rooms and offices. Clad with diagonally cut façade panels, this upper structure adds a dynamic, almost sculptural character to the building, reinforcing its identity as a landmark of modern Slovak architecture.

The RTVS building features Reflex Amber 4071, a through‑coloured façade panel with a reflective coating. This finish gently returns incoming light, creating a subtle, elegant sheen across the façade and enhancing the building’s sculptural quality.

The Reflex colour range includes 12 refined tones, from warm whites to bronze and deep black, allowing architects to work with light, shadow, and reflection in a controlled and expressive way.
