Certified product information for your building projects

Swisspearl has achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Full Scope certification at the Bronze level according to version 4.1 for a defined group of fibre-cement facade boards and building boards manufactured at Swisspearl facilities in Switzerland, Austria, Finland and Hungary. 

The certification applies only to the products included in the official certification record for Swisspearl Fibre Cement Wall Solutions. The record defines the certified product scope, certification type, overall level, standard version, validity period and category achievement levels. 

Use the Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Registry to confirm whether a specific product is covered by the certification. 

The certification documentation can be used alongside Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), technical datasheets and product declarations where relevant to a project. It complements these documents but does not replace them.

What is Cradle to Cradle Certified®?

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Program is a third-party product certification program administered by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute.

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard (Full Scope) assesses products across five sustainability performance categories: 

  • Material Health Materials have been assessed and categorized according to Cradle to Cradle material health criteria. 

  • Product Circularity The product’s circularity potential has been assessed within the Cradle to Cradle framework. 

  • Clean Air & Climate Protection Energy use and emissions are assessed and managed as part of the certification process. 

  • Water & Soil Stewardship Water management practices are assessed and monitored as part of the certification. 

  • Social Fairness  Social responsibility practices are assessed in line with Cradle to Cradle criteria.

What does the Bronze level mean?

The products within the certified scope have been independently assessed and meet the applicable Bronze-level requirements across all five categories of the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard (Full Scope), version 4.1. 

Bronze is the first of four ascending certification levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. It represents a verified entry-level achievement within the certification framework. 

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze certification does not mean that a product is fully sustainable, fully circular, non-toxic, harmless, climate-neutral or without environmental impact. 

Documentation for building certification schemes

For products included in the certified scope, the certification documentation may support project submissions under green building schemes such as LEED, DGNB and BREEAM, depending on the applicable scheme, version and project requirements. 
 

The certification does not guarantee credits, points, approvals, scores or a building-certification outcome.

A framework for reassessment and improvement

The certification for Swisspearl Fibre Cement Wall Solutions is effective from 14 July 2026 and expires on 13 July 2029. 

The certification is time limited. Continued certification after the expiry date requires reassessment in accordance with the applicable Cradle to Cradle Certified® requirements. 

For the products within the certified scope, Bronze certification provides third-party assessed information and a structured framework for reassessment and improvement across the five certification categories.
