The contemporary expansion of the museum’s historic headquarters blends heritage with a minimalist white volume, signalling quality and accessibility. The project included a full renovation–conservation scope and the addition of a new section finished in white cladding with glazed elements, clearly differentiating the modern part from the 19th/17th-century building.
Functionally, the institution gained expanded exhibition areas and improved visitor-service infrastructure, enhancing the cultural offer and raising service standards.
In short: a strategic revitalisation of heritage through contemporary architectural solutions, delivering a “new space” in the city centre.
