Located in the heart of Roskilde’s creative Musicon district, Bifaldet is a mixed-use residential and commercial development comprising 29 owner-occupied apartments as well as spaces for a café and restaurant. Designed by AART Architects, the building draws strong inspiration from the area’s close connection to music and the Roskilde Festival.

The architectural expression of the two buildings was inspired by a xylophone, while the distinctive façade fins follow the rhythm of We Will Rock You. Behind the fins, the inner façade is clad with fibre cement panels in shades of grey, white and red.

The combination of fibre cement panels and the outer fins creates a layered façade with depth, rhythm and a dynamic expression. The result fits naturally into Musicon’s experimental and distinctive architectural character.

Swisspearl Patina Original NXT is a through-coloured fibre cement panel with a lively surface that evolves over time, developing a beautiful and distinctive patina. This gives the building an authentic and individual expression.

The natural variations in the surface and subtle shifts in colour create a distinctive appearance, where the fibres, the structure of the fibre cement and the sanding marks remain beautifully visible and highlight the unique character of the material.
