Skygarden | Vienna, AustriaFacadeLargo Swisspearl GravialLargo Swisspearl CaratThe “Skygarden” in Vienna is a unique multi-generational residential building that combines urban living with a close-to-nature aesthetic. Nestled in a green courtyard, the building blends seamlessly into its surroundings. With a facade made of Swisspearl fibre cement panels in matte tones, the structure visually integrates into the lush environment, becoming a natural part of the surrounding landscape. This design ensures that the building, especially in summer, almost disappears among the treetops. The matte surfaces of Largo Carat and Largo Gravial enhance the connection to nature, allowing the structure to merge effortlessly with the greenery of the property.Additionally, the Skygarden places a central focus on its social dimension. The combination of private residential units and generous communal spaces offers residents a way of life that fosters both retreat and togetherness. This concept creates a balance between individual independence and social integration, making the Skygarden a model example of intergenerational and community living. The Skygarden’s concept views architecture as part of an ecological and social system that enables a sustainable and livable future while also serving as a benchmark for contemporary urban development.LocationVienna, AustriaArchitectArch.
